PAD POLICIES

1. Check-in and Check-out Policies

Check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 10am. Late check out is until 12pm and can be purchased for $25 subject to availability. 

Early check-in can only be confirmed on date of arrival if available. Late check-out without pre-purchasing and notifying staff incurs a $50 fee which can be charged without notice to the card on file for the guest.

Passport required for check in, Pad Hostel reserve the right to request extra documentation if deemed necessary. 

Strictly 18 – 35 age limitations.

2. Booking and Payment Policies

Payment options (all major credit cards*, cash, online payment through booking platform subject to their own t&c’s)

Payment will be attempted to be taken prior to checking in depending on which rate has been booked, if payment fails to be taken in the agreed rate period then it is required in full at the time of check in, including for extended bookings. 

Cancellations within 3 days of the reservation check in date are not eligible for a refund, unless otherwise covered by the booking channels terms and conditions. 

No-shows will be charged the full amount of their reservation, unless contact is made with the hostel detailing extenuating circumstances which Pad Hostel staff deem applicable.

After check in, if a guest leaves their reservation early, they are not entitled to a refund for the remainder of their stay.

3. Dormitory Etiquette

Guests must respect fellow travellers sleep schedules and privacy, and not use the dorms as social areas. 

Guests must keep their belongings under their bed space or in designated lockers without encroaching on other travellers area. 

Bed switching is not permitted, unless authorised by Pad Hostel staff. 

4. Guest Behavior and Conduct

No smoking including vapes on the premise except in designated areas.

No disruptive behavior, harassment, or offensive language towards staff or other guests.

Alcohol and drugs are not permitted and will be removed without caution or compensation.

Eviction from the adjoining lisenced premise, CCH, equates to eviction from Pad Hostel in all circumstances with no eligibility for a refund. 

5. Security and Safety

After hours (11pm-7am) access is exclusively for current reservations via Selwyn St entrance using the GOKI app.

In the event of a fire, guests must follow the evacuation route detailed on the hostel signage. Guests must evacuate at the sound of the fire alarm. False initiation of the fire alarm will result in a fine of minimum $1700 serviceand immediate cancellation of guests reservation. 

Under no circumstances are e-bikes or other lithium battery powered items permitted inside the premises. Charging lithium batteries, or bringing them into Pad Hostel will result in immediate eviction and future blacklisting from the venue and associated venues.

Guests without a current reservation at Pad Hostel are permitted in the common areas only between the hours of 7am-11pm. Strictly no overnight guests. Pad Hostel staff reserve the right to ask any visitor to leave without question and guests with a reservation risk eviction for accommodating outside guests outside of these rules. 

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Housekeeping is completed after check out, except in the case of long term guests, who will be subject to a non-negotiable weekly linen change.

Guests have a responsibility to keep common areas clean, and can be fined for misconduct in these areas.

Guests must report cleaning or maintenance issues to a member of staff.

7. Amenities and Services

Free towels are available for guests in private rooms. All other guests can request a towel for a $5 hiring fee, towel must be returned. 

Free wifi is available for all guests unless technical issues interrupt our ability to provide.

Subject to availability, guest can store their luggage between the hours of 7am-3pm on the day of check in and 10am-11pm on the day of check out. 

8. Guest Liability

If a guest is found responsible for any damages caused to the property, they are liable and can be charged accordingly and /or have their reservation cancelled.

Pad Hostel is not liable for any lost or stolen items.

9. Pet and Animal Policy

Pets or animals are not permitted in the property, except if the owner has the appropriate documentation for disability / guide dogs then reservations in private rooms may be accommodated pending pre-approval with Pad Hostel Management.

 

10. Data Protection and Privacy

How we collect, use, store, and protect personal data including security footage is in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

 

Guest agreement: By checking in to Pad Hostel you agree to these terms and those of the local state and federal governing authorities.

 

*Please note that Visa and Mastercard transaction are subject to 1.8% transaction fees, American Express and other cards including international cards are subject to 3.5% transaction fees. Eftpos payments can incur an additional $0.17.
